Cultural & Social Activities
We are planning a series of cultural and social activities during the length of the School,
so that all participants could taste a bit of what Mexico can offer, they include:
- Excursions to nearby archeological zones (Cholula, Cacaxtla).
- Guided visits to Puebla and other attractions
- Food tasting
- Traditional Mexican wrestling (Luchas)
- Documental: El peñacho de Moctezuma: plumaria del México Antiguo*, by María Olvido M.
- ... and many more surprises!
El peñacho de Moctezuma is a documentary co-production of TV UNAM and OPMA directed by Jaime Kuri, presented by Dr. María Olvido Moreno. The first part reports on the seven known Mexican featherwork objects dating from sixteenth century. The second part is devoted to the history and condition of the famous headdress found in the Weltmuseum of Vienna. (additional material PDF)
