Thank you very much for your participation to the Conference.

We are looking forward to your co-operation to a timely publication of the proceedings of this conference. They will be edited by M. Chavez, E. Bertone, D. Rosa-Gonzalez & L. H. Rodriguez-Merino and will be published by Springer in the Astrophysics and Space Science Proceedings series.

The deadline date to send your contribution is the 30th of June 2007.

Please, go to the Proceedings Information page to find the instructions for writing and sending your contribution.

Five years ago we organized the first meeting aimed at stressing the importance of stellar physics to understand the properties of stellar systems at different scales. We now focus on the UV interval to review our current knowledge on the properties of evolved stellar populations.

This would be a unique opportunity to collect an up-to-date view of the outcomes from various space missions, from the long-lived IUE to current facilities such as GALEX and FUSE. This fresh panorama will undoubtedly impact on the preparation of future missions such as the World Space Observatory.

The conference is also motivated by the recent access to the rest frame UV light of distant red galaxies, gained through large optical facilities. This driveway has derived in a renewed interest on the stars that presumably dominate or have important effects on the integrated UV charactertistics of evolved nearby objects. The conference intends to convene scientists interested in some of the main aspects associated with the ultraviolet properties of old populations.
