Dear Colleague,
This is the second announcement for the conference:
"DISKS OF GALAXIES: KINEMATICS, DYNAMICS AND PERTURBATIONS",
to be held in Puebla, Mexico on November 5-9, 2001.
In this announcement you will find a preliminary list of invited
review speakers, information about hotels, registration fee and
abstracts. The preliminary scientific program can be found at
our Web page. The cultural activities during the week will be
shortly posted. Please check the page

Please update your information by clicking REGISTER at that site,
if you are already pre-registered. If you are not pre-registered yet,
you can still do so by following the above link. Alternatively, you
can fill-out the form enclosed at the end of this announcement and
send it by email to disks01@inaoep.mx. Filling the web form should be
preferred whenever possible.
The deadline for filling the registration form is 14th September 2001.

CONFERENCE LOCATION
-------------------
The conference will be held at the "Auditorio Angelopolis" of the
"Centro de Convenciones", Puebla. The center is located at the
historical quarter of the city. Please check the following Web page:

The city of Puebla, home of over one million inhabitants, is one
of the most important colonial cities in Mexico, and has been declared
part of the World Heritage by UNESCO. It is located 120 km South-east
of Mexico City. INAOE, the host institution, is situated in the small town
of Santa Maria Tonantzintla, which is about 10 km west of downtown Puebla.

ACCOMODATION

You can choose one of the following hotels for your accomodation
during the conference. They are all within walking distance to the
conference hall.
(1) Hotel Colonial (25 rooms)
Single : 380.00 pesos / night
Double : 250.00 pesos / night / person
(2) Hotel Posada San Pedro (50 rooms)
Single : 780.00 pesos / night
Double : 430.00 pesos / night / person
(3) Holiday Inn (50 rooms)
Single : 900.00 pesos / night
Double : 450.00 pesos / night / person
(4) Hotel Camino Real (subject to availability)
Single : 1200.00 pesos / night
Double : 635.00 pesos / night / person
NOTE: Prices are in Mexican pesos. Current rate is 1 US$ = 9.0 pesos
(this rate fluctuates with time).
You can reserve the hotel of your choice by filling out the Hotel
registration form in our Web page (preferable) or using the
registration form at the end of this announcement.
The availability of rooms in these hotels is limited. We will
accomodate participants in a first come first serve basis.
All prices include breakfast. The prices and numbers of rooms are
guaranteed until September 14th. Afterwards, prices can change and
we do not guarantee the booking.
The hotels will be paid by yourself at your arrivel. In order to
backup your reservation, please send your credit card number and
a photocopy of your credit card by FAX to Ms. Rosario Sanchez
(FAX: +52 2 247 22 31).
Few cheap accomodations located less conveniently are avaliable.

ABSTRACTS
---------
The registration form contains space for including abstracts of your
contribution, which can be in simple text or in LaTex format (without
personal macros). A book containing all the abstracts will be given
to all the participants at the beginning of the conference. The
deadline for receiving abstracts is September 14, 2001. The abstracts
will be posted at the ADS.

REGISTRATION FEE
----------------
The registration fee for this conference is 200 US$.
The registration fee includes
* A copy of the conference proceedings
* Reception on Sunday evening
* Morning and afternoon tea/coffee breaks, Monday to Friday
* Wednesday lunch and afternoon excursions
The fees should be paid to the LOC at the registration desk in cash
(Mexican pesos or US dollars only).
