VIAI 2024
With seminars and the presentation of projects, the 4th INAOE Summer of Research in Astrophysics (VIAI 2024) concludes this week.
The VIAI began on June 16. The objective of the Summer is to show to the students who plan to do a postgraduate degree what it means to develop a career of scientific research in Astrophysics.
Throughout these weeks, the students have attended courses taught by researchers of INAOE. Among the topics covered in the courses are interstellar medium, stars, galactic star formation, debris disks and planetary systems, cosmology, large-scale structure and introduction to programming with Python.
They have also had seminars and have worked on research projects related to the topics seen in class.
The VIAI will conclude on July 6.
