VICI 2024
70 university students from different parts of the country, attend the Summer of Scientific Research at INAOE (VICI). The VICI 2024 began on June 16. This is an event that has been organized at this Institute for more than 15 years.
VICI is carried out in coordination with the Mexican Academy of Sciences (AMC), the DELFÍN Program, the JAGUAR Program and the programs of public and private universities in Mexico and abroad.
During the VICI, undergraduate students establish contact with scientific research. The results of students' work have been presented at national and international conferences. Some of the results have been published in undergraduate theses and/or in high-impact journals.
A weekly seminar is one the most important activities of VICI 2024. At this seminar, INAOE researchers participate with the purpose of attracting students to our different postgraduate programs. Visits to INAOE laboratories are also carried out. Over the years, VICI has attracted around the 40 percent of its students to INAOE postgraduate programs.
VICI 2024 will conclude on August 2. The sponsors are INAOE, CAS-IEEE and Derrant Aplicaciones Metalúrgicas.
