The Brazilian Ambassador visits INAOE

With the aim of learning about the projects that the INAOE has developed with universities, research centers and institutions in Brazil, last Friday, November 10, the Hon. Brazilian Ambassador to Mexico, Fernando Coimbra, visited our research center.


Dr. Edmundo Antonio Gutiérrez Domínguez, General Director of INAOE, welcomed His Excellency. Ambassador Fernando Coimbra. The above, within the framework of a work meeting in which Dr. Daniel Durini Romero, Director of Research and Technological Development of the INAOE, and Dr. Bertha Patricia Guzmán Velázquez, Head of the Office of Institutional Liaison and Planning, were present.


Researchers who have had a research project in collaboration with that South American nation also attended, such as doctors Ivânio Puerari, Eduardo Mendoza, José Guichard and Sergio Camacho, from the Astrophysics Coordination; Sabino Chávez and Héctor Moya, from the Ópitca Coordination; Rogerio Enríquez, from the Electronics Coordination, and José Ramón Valdés Parra, Astrophysics Coordinator. Each of them spoke about past, present and future projects with Brazil.
