INAOE, a unique place to study a postgraduate degree
Santa María Tonantzintla, Puebla, October 4, 2023.- The National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE), a public research center of Conahcyt, is a unique institution to study a master's degree or a doctorate.
Dr. Francisco Renero Carrillo, Director of Academic Training at the INAOE, invites the students of the last semesters and the graduates of Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and related areas to visit the INAOE page, and review the lines of generation and/or application of knowledge (LGAC) of each of the different postgraduate courses so that they have more detailed information on the research carried out at the Institute.
INAOE is a public research center of the National Council of Humanities, Sciences and Technologies (Conahcyt). It was created by presidential decree on November 12, 1971. Currently, it offers master's degrees and doctorates in Astrophysics, Optics, Electronics, Computer Sciences, Space Science and Technology, Biomedical Sciences and Technologies, Security and Exact Sciences Teaching.
Dr. Francisco Renero comments: “We are unique. You will not find an Institute with researchers in Astrophysics, Optics, Electronics and Computer Sciences who now work together doing Biomedical Sciences and Technologies, Space Science and Technology, Security and Teaching of Exact Sciences. All this experience gained by the people of Inao comes together in a space with ancient traditions. The INAOE has the appropriate facilities for anyone who wants to do a postgraduate degree in a unique space and in frontier lines of research. You can find Electronics or Computer Science at another institution that I don't doubt is good, but I think INAOE is much better. But, in addition, there is Astrophysics, Optics, the transversal ones, Space Science and Technology, Security Sciences and Technologies, and Biomedical Sciences and Technologies. In terms of teaching, the accumulated knowledge of its researchers is transmitted to teaching professionals in the Master's Degree in Teaching of Exact Sciences."
The Optics researcher also adds that, of the 14 postgraduates of the Institute, in this scholarship period, 13 were classified as eligible to apply for the Conahcyt scholarship.
Likewise, he points out: “By next year I hope that the 14 postgraduate courses will be eligible so that all students can access a scholarship. It must be remembered that Conahcyt directly assigns the scholarships, they do not depend on the INAOE. The Institute continues to maintain a very strict admission process, which has allowed us to maintain our postgraduate courses at a level of excellence and therefore eligible for scholarships.”
Finally, Dr. Francisco Renero reiterates the invitation for those interested in studying a postgraduate degree at the INAOE to consult the page www.inaoep.mx where in March 2024 the call to enter the master's degrees will be published in the fall of next year.
