Dr. Jesús Emmanuel Gómez Correa, distinguished graduate of UJAT

On September 19, Dr. Jesús Emmanuel Gómez Correa, researcher of the INAOE Optics Coordination, participated in the meeting of distinguished graduates of the degree in Physics from the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco (UJAT).


The meeting took place within the framework of the XXXIII Physics Forum 2023.
The meeting of distinguished graduates of the UJAT degree in Physics was moderated by Lic. Guillermo Narváez Osorio, rector of the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco.
Eight distinguished graduates participated in the event: M. C. Manuel Eduardo Barredo Alamilla, doctoral student at the University of Saint Petersburg, Russia; Dr. Eduard de la Cruz Burelo, head of the Physics Department of CINVESTAV; Dr. Maraolina Domínguez Díaz, professor and researcher at Tec. Milenio; Dr. Gorgonio Fuentes Cruz, researcher at the Mexican Petroleum Institute; Dr. Jesús Emmanuel Gómez Correa, INAOE researcher; Dr. José Alberto Martín Ruiz, researcher at the UNAM Nuclear Research Institute: M. C. Laura Parrilla de la O., doctoral student at the UNAM Institute of Nuclear Sciences, and Dr. Gaston Alejandro Priego Hernández, technical director of CONAGUA .
The distinguished graduates shared with the UJAT Physics students their experiences as students of the University and recounted their academic and professional lives.
Dr. Gómez Correa graduated from the UJAT with a degree in Physics. He has a master's degree in science with a specialty in Optics from the INAOE. He obtained the doctorate in Optics at the INAOE in 2015.
His research lines are propagation in GRIN media, visual optics, pattern recognition, physical optics and structured field propagation. His research articles have received international recognition.
