Puebla, a place of opportunities for foreign investment due to competitive advantages: Economy
 

  • Businessmen from Taiwan visited Model City and the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business to learn about its benefits

SAN JOSE CHIAPA, Pue. - Thanks to the policy of economic development with social progress, promoted by the current government of Sergio Salomón, Puebla is ready to receive companies from the high-tech sector because it has the necessary infrastructure, talent, and labor force, pointed out the secretary of Economy, Olivia Salomón leading a tour of Ciudad Modelo and CIEN.

The business delegation was accompanied by the Federal Secretary of Economy, Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez; the Federal Undersecretary of Foreign Trade, Alejandro Encinas Nájera; the president of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Mexico, Armando Cheng; Richard Lee, Chairman of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association; Guillermo Malpica, head of the technical secretariat of the Investment Advisory Council; Ermilo Barrera, general director of the State Energy Agency, and Sandra Paola Rodríguez Gómez, director of Ciudad Modelo.
In Ciudad Modelo, the Asian businessmen learned about the investment opportunities in the area that has available land for industrial use, manufacturing, educational and housing facilities, as well as other services, so that the families of the workers of the companies that are settle there can live comfortably.

In the presentation directed by Olivia Salomón, the highway and railway infrastructure of the entity was highlighted, as well as the connectivity and talent that Puebla has, as well as the ability to respond to the needs of emerging industries such as electromobility, renewable energy and semi-conductor manufacturing.

Investors also learned about the incentives and competitive attractions that the state has, since, in addition to being applied transparently, they are contained in the public policy of sustainable economic development of the current government of Sergio Salomón, which represents, for example, the capacity and stability of the state electrical network to meet the needs of any company related to semiconductors.

They also learned about the research and application of projects with the highest quality standards that UPAEP is carrying out. Vice Chancellor Eugenio Urrutia Albisua presented the nanosatellite project. While the general director of INAOE, Edmundo Gutiérrez Domínguez, presented the projects they have developed in Tonantzintla, Puebla. The tour ended at the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business (CIEN) of the Ministry of Economy.
