INAOE-INFOTEC work meeting

Last May 11, directors of the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE) and the Center for Research and Innovation in Information and Communication Technologies (INFOTEC), both Conahcyt Centers, held a working meeting with the aim of share information on various software platforms that they have developed for the federal public administration, as well as explore ways of collaboration for the development of scientific and technological projects in the security and cybersecurity sector, as well as promote the development of new postgraduate courses.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Edmundo Antonio Gutiérrez Domínguez, Director General of INAOE, and Mr. Federico González Waite, Executive Director of INFOTEC. Also present, from INFOTEC, was Mr. Josué Lavandeira, Deputy Director of Research and Knowledge, and Eng. Eustasio Sánchez Montesinos, Deputy Director of Technological Development. On behalf of INAOE, Dr. Francisco Renero Carrillo, in charge of Affairs of the Academic Training Department, and Dr. Bertha Patricia Guzmán Velázquez, head of the Project Liaison and Management Office, as well as a group of specialists in topics of interest belonging to the Technological Integration Center (CIT).
At the end of the work session, the INFOTEC guests visited the Schmidt Chamber and the INAOE Laboratory of Aspherical Surfaces.
