With a creative and enigmatic name, the Science Baths are an INAOE scientific dissemination initiative whose main objective is to bring science closer to boys and girls between the ages of six and twelve in a playful way. They started in 2005 and were created by Dr. Raúl Mújica García, INAOE researcher.

The name of Science Baths is a way of fixing the day of the week on which they take place, Saturday, since in Mexico it is popularly said that Saturday is bathing day. From 2005 to 2019, the Science Baths were held at different locations of various entities in the country, mainly in Puebla. However, from 2020 to 2022, due to the pandemic, these activities were mainly offered virtually.
This season of the Science Baths began last Saturday and will take place over the following months, always on a Saturday at different venues. Most of the speakers at the Science Baths are researchers, students, and technicians from INAOE, so many topics are related to the areas of Astrophysics, Optics, Electronics, and Computational Sciences. It also has the support of speakers from Ibero Puebla, UPAEP and the Youth Scientific Society, as well as the OPTICA Student Chapter (formerly OSA) at INAOE.

On behalf of INAOE, the speakers will be Olga Vega, Juana Medina, Fabián Rosales, Roberto Romano, Daniel Rosa, Ignacio Zaldívar, Agustín Márquez, Iván Bocanegra, Jessica Macoto, Alejandro Gutiérrez Giles, Alejandra de la Vega, María Rebeca Bruzual, Ricardo Retana, Miguel Velázquez, Sandra Barajas, Maribel Tello Bello, Javier Zaragoza and Ervey Guerrero. On behalf of the Ibero Puebla, Darío Edwin Gómez will give robotics workshops and on behalf of the Youth Scientific Society, the speakers will be Víctor Manuel Espejel, Sandra Kyara Estrada, Pilar Andrea Villalobos, Miroslava Zenteno and Carolina Martínez.
